BTIG Hires Senior Trader for Institutional Sales
Posted: 01 Feb 2012-
BTIG Australia has hired Sam Willis as a senior trader on the institutional sales desk.
Wills joins BTIG, a global financial services firm specialising in institutional trading and related brokerage services, from MF Global where he was head of equity sales and trading. He has also held senior positions at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank.
Willis is BTIG Australia’s third hire recently, corresponding with the firm’s business expansion in Australia. BTIG said it expects additional business growth to be partially fuelled from growing interest in outsource trading solutions.
"Our outsource service in particular is resonating with firms who are looking at more flexible trading solutions without the cost of having to build out a dedicated in-house trading desk,” said Paul Brech, chief executive officer for BTIG Australia. “We're continually looking to bring new offerings to the Asia Pacific region which will help clients best execute their goals and investment needs.”
BTIG offers service in equity trading, equity derivatives, futures trading, convertible securities, prime brokerage, outsource trading, fixed income, direct market access, capital markets, equity research and corporate access.
