Dan McNichols Hired as Head of Sales for State Street AIS in Asia Pacific

Posted: 15 Feb 2012
  • State Street Corporation has hired Dan McNicholas as head of sales for State Street’s Alternative Investment Servicing Solutions in Asia Pacific.

McNicholas will lead sales strategy for State Street’s hedge fund servicing, real estate and private equity operations across the region and will work closely with client-facing teams to develop sales strategies for its alternative investment capabilities. He will report to Maria Cantillon, global head of AIS Sales. McNicholas previously worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch as director and head of financing sales for Global Markets Financing and Futures, Asia Pacific.

“There is growing demand for hedge, private equity and real estate fund administration services from investment managers across Asia Pacific, and I look forward to building on the success of our business in North America and Europe by contributing to the expansion of our footprint here in the region,” McNicholas said.

State Street brought its hedge fund servicing business to Asia Pacific in 2011, and announced expansion plans for existing real estate and private equity servicing operations in mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore. The hedge fund servicing business is offered through International Fund Services, a State Street company. In 2010, State Street established its Asia Pacific business as an alternative funds service provider when it acquired Mourant International Finance Administration, with locations in Hong Kong and Singapore.

McNicholas brings more than 15 years of experience in sales and client services. His previous experience includes roles at Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank.
